The Alpine Trad Sling from Mammut is a single-strand sling made from abrasion-resistant and tear-resistant Dyneema that can be used like a classic round sling, but offers various advantages: You can get to the sling faster because you only have to release the carabiners instead of pulling the sling over your head and arm. The sling can be quickly shortened from 120 centimetres to a length of 30 or 60 centimetres. The single-strand construction also means you can't accidentally unclip, and the Alpine Trad Sling is also lighter than a round sling.
